The forecast is looking good for our first ever Open Garden event which is taking place here at Shilstone on Thursday afternoon from 2pm to 5pm.

Visitors will be able to experience parts of Shilstone’s incredible gardens, namely the North-Eastern Terraces giving stunning views across the house and down into the valley, and the valley itself with medieval fishponds, rills and cascades as well as the Grotto. Access to the gardens is free of charge.

During your visit why not enjoy some delicious treats from Polly Ann’s mobile country kitchen in the Archive courtyard too? Polly Ann’s provides scrumptious, locally sourced, hot and cold food from a converted horse box and will be with us on the following dates:

Thursday 4th August 2022, 2pm – 6:30pm (garden closes at 5pm)
Sunday 21st August 2022, 12pm – 4pm
Tuesday 20th September 2022, 11am – 3pm
Unless stated otherwise the gardens will close at the same time as the café.

Regrettably no dogs.

The Archive will be open from 11am and throughout the afternoon until 7pm when our evening lecture about the Hole family of Parke at Bovey Tracey will begin.

*The boards below are just a sample of what Polly Ann’s can offer and other treats will be available.*

Stay in the loop!
