Earlier this month we were very excited to receive a collection of 78 photographs of historic Exeter from the Exeter Historic Buildings Trust. The images had all been captured by the firm of Bradford based photographer Walter Scott in the first half of the 20th century and show different parts of the city including: St Nicholas Priory, Bampfylde House, The Guildhall, the Underground Passages, Polsloe Priory, the Catacombs and the Cathedral.
Walter Scott established his firm in 1905 and produced high quality postcards on a national scale.
In the coming weeks all of the images will be scanned and added to our Image Bank but, in the meantime, we have selected some of our favourites to share with you.
